Excerpt of a Charter

Saint-Pantaleon of Cologne

１３世紀のフランスの修道院で発展したこの書体は特権認可書や様々な書類のために使われてきました。
読みやすくて、丸みを帯びながら細長い文字はペン先の変わった動作によって、
文章がページの上に優雅に登場します。
当時の写本で人気のロンバールディック体の飾り文字は決まった色とスタイルで作品を賑やかにしてくれます。
MGの特別研究によって、パリのアーセナル図書館所蔵の写本に基づいて設けた講座ですので
クラス資料は研究ノートによるお手本のみです。

使用：中世時代の終わりを告げる書体として、物語、詩、引用句
にふさわしいです。現在の作品なら特別な雰囲気になります。
飾り文字はロゴ、グリーティング・カードやアクセサリーのデザインを楽しませてくれます。

This is another course based on MG's research on one of the manuscripts
kept at the Arsenal Library in Paris.
Round and slender, this 13th century script is matched by elegantly decorated letters
particular to the Monastery where they were created.

Applications: this script of medieval flavour is best used in classical texts,
stories, poems, quotes etc.

The use of its lavish Lombardic initials will open a world of possibilities
in the design of logos, accessories, cards etc.
